How do I become a certified MHSA Auditor?

Successfully complete the following MHSA training courses:

• Safety Basics

• Hazard Assessment

• Safety Auditor

A Auditor Qualification audit must be received within 6 months from the last day of the Safety Auditor course. Please note: Auditor Qualification audits can not be performed on Certification audits.

How do I maintain my MHSA Auditor Qualification Status?

• Complete 2 audits every 3 years

• Attend Safety Auditor Recertification course, every 3 years as mandated by PIR (Partnerships in Injury Reduction)

Please note: The next Auditor Recertification year will be 2024. All valid auditors and assessors will be required to take this recertification training regardless of when their Peer Auditor Status expires.
