Emergency First-Aid CPR-A & AED (CSA Basic)

If your workplace is a potentially dangerous environment, it is critical to have supervisors on the ground who are trained in coping with emergencies. Your employees can receive all the training they need through a comprehensive emergency first-aid course. Edmonton facilities and other Alberta-area manufacturing companies can benefit from the specialized training offered by the MHSA, which is designed specifically for industry workers.

Course Description

In this 1-day Emergency First Aid course, students will learn to recognize and provide interventions for life-threatening emergencies until medical aid arrives.

Topics include:

  • CPR and choking for adults

  • shock and unconsciousness

  • severe bleeding

  • head & spinal injuries

  • major medical conditions

  • AED training and certification

You’ll receive a certificate valid for three years with our first-aid training. Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer area employees and other participants are recommended to receive refresher courses on CPR every year.
